Just got back from Solo Trip # 2 to Sin City. This was a total coupon run, as I just bought an ACG book and wanted to use my remaining MRB freebies as well. I have a childhood friend who is a local now, she was my taxi/guide for the trip.

I get asked just about every day for free Braves tickets, and just about every day I tell people to check out braves.com/tickets for all their needs. The normal response is “but the Braves are too expensive, so I never go.” A lot of you must agree because lately, you can see the plethora of blue seats at any given game. However, here is a plan on how you can see your home team for $15 – TOTAL.

So its official, I'm back with the Atlanta Braves for the 2009 season as your “In Game Host.” Which means, I host all the games on the big screen. It’s a fun gig; I get to hang out with the hot Tomahawk Team, I get Braves gear to wear, and in the end, I get paid to watch baseball all summer. However, when the team starts to come apart, and the loss column gets a little more action than it should, that’s when the job can be a little frustrating.

I am an admitted Vegas nut, and after years of contemplating taking that “solo” trip to Sin City, I have finally given in to temptation and decided to do it. I have never gone to the movies alone, or even dinner by myself, so the idea of traveling across country solo should bother me, but in reality, I’m pumped.

My oldest brother Matt is about to be a dad for the first time, and since he is the one that got me hooked on Vegas, I said we should have one last getaway before the baby comes (well, actually he asked his wife who gave him permission to have one last getaway).

So the Bulldogs are loosing Matt Stafford, Knowshon Moreno and Asher Allen to the NFL draft. I am 100% ok with this, and even more, I’m happy for them. Who the hell am I to tell someone to NOT go make money using their talent for the game they love. Either it happens now, or in a year from now. So lets start preparing our next crop of Silver Britches to hunker down.

 Around the end of August, my focus turns from summer concerts, pissing off the neighbors with drunken night swimming, and wondering what happened to the Braves this season, to my one true passion, College Football. As a die hard member of the Dawgnation you will find me tailgating in Athens on a fall Saturday, rain or shine, hot or cold, being that “obnoxious” UGA fan. Please don’t act like you are any better because you hate UGA and the fans, no matter what team you follow, if you love the SEC, you are “that guy” too.
